Position Overview

We are seeking a proficient and knowledgeable Aerospace Laser Operator for our 1st shift operations. This role involves utilizing advanced laser technology to manufacture top-tier products for our clientele.

As an Aerospace Laser Operator, your key responsibilities will include programming and managing computerized machinery, adhering to blueprints and specifications, conducting inspections and measurements of components, and performing routine maintenance tasks. Collaboration with various departments will be essential to synchronize schedules, propose cost-saving measures, and uphold quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate bending, laser cutting, and punching machinery, with a preference for candidates familiar with TRUMPF equipment.
  • Inspect and measure components in accordance with blueprints and customer specifications.
  • Ensure the quality and consistency of products.
  • Troubleshoot and rectify machine errors or malfunctions.
  • Utilize measuring instruments (Calipers, Protractors, Tape measures, etc.) with proficiency.
  • Maintain CNC machines, work area, and tools in optimal condition.

Machine Support Duties:

  • Adjust machinery and programs as necessary and perform minor maintenance tasks.
  • Input data into departmental systems.
  • Coordinate with other departments regarding scheduling.
  • Adhere to safety and cleanliness standards.
  • Responsibilities include:
  • Participating in daily production meetings as required.
  • Suggesting and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
  • Engaging with the Quality Department.
  • Maintaining a tidy, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Fostering effective working relationships within and across departments.
  • Assisting with the procurement of departmental supplies.

Required Skills:

  • Expertise in Machine Setups for Production Runs.

Technologies Utilized:

  • CNC Laser Cutter (Trumpf).

Compensation:

$21 - $25 / hr
