Position Summary

We are seeking a Quality Technician - Class 2 to enhance our team. This role is crucial in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality.

Work Schedule

First Shift: 7:00am-3:30pm, Monday to Friday.

Essential Job Requirements

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to alternate between walking, standing, and sitting. Must safely lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Work Hours: Full-time position (40+ hours per week).
  • Personal Attributes: Strong communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork. Attention to detail and accuracy is essential.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in using a PC and familiar with MS Office applications.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
  • Exemplary role model in productivity, safety, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete job functions in a timely manner.
  • Authority to submit completed PPAP and FAI documentation.
  • Evaluate parts based on customer specifications.
  • Understand and implement the Quality Policy and Objectives.
  • Adhere to AS9100 Quality system procedures.
  • Apply aesthetic requirements during visual inspections.
  • Conduct mechanical inspections of various components.
  • Review certificates of conformance and generate documentation for Latitude products.
  • Complete inspection reports in line with organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Calibrate measuring equipment in accordance with ISO standards.
  • Perform production audits for quality assurance.
  • Operate CMM independently.
  • Complete tasks as directed by the Quality Manager or Supervisor.
  • Maintain punctuality and willingness to work overtime as needed.
  • Follow safety procedures to eliminate hazardous conditions.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and other departments.
  • Keep work area organized and clean.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to interpret blueprints and understand GD&T.
  • Proficient in mechanical inspection using basic measuring tools.
  • High attention to detail in visual inspections.
  • Capability to produce accurate inspection reports.
  • Experience in calibrating measuring equipment.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Good computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong math, writing, reading, and communication skills.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent with three years of relevant experience. One year of experience in the manufacturing sector operating Mitutoyo or Zeiss CMM machines is required.
