Embedded Systems Quality Assurance Engineer

Extreme Engineering Solutions (X-ES) is on the lookout for a skilled and proactive Embedded Systems Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Manufacturing Test team. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our products meet stringent specifications through rigorous testing, design validation, and production support. The engineer will be responsible for developing testing software and establishing test protocols to validate the performance of embedded systems designed for challenging environments, catering to sectors such as industrial, commercial, military, and aerospace.
Key Responsibilities
- Create software and automation scripts to evaluate embedded systems, ensuring superior product quality and minimizing defects.
- Document manufacturing testing protocols and troubleshoot existing testing procedures.
- Define the hardware testing environment and necessary fixtures.
- Engage in the software development lifecycle from requirement gathering to production deployment.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related discipline. Alternatively, an Associate's degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience.
- Proficient in computer applications with a keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills.
- Self-driven with the ability to advance projects independently while meeting deadlines.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Capability to work efficiently and autonomously.
- Familiarity with Python and object-oriented programming principles.
- Strong grasp of programming languages, data structures, and algorithms.
- Experience with Linux and bash shell scripting.
- Knowledge of version control systems such as git.
- Effective communication skills for cross-functional teamwork.
- Understanding of computer architecture and electronic assemblies.
- Prior experience with embedded systems is advantageous.
