Job Summary

Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals is seeking a highly skilled Associate Scientist, Quality Control to join our Quality Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the analytical testing of pharmaceutical raw materials, in-process samples, finished drug substances and drug product, and/or stability sample testing activities for new drug substances and drug products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and regulatory requirements
  • Perform routine analytical testing of pharmaceutical raw materials, in-process samples, finished products and/or stability samples using established test methods and procedures
  • Set up and operate various analytical instrumentation, including HPLC, GC, FT-IR, UV/Vis, and KF, with minimal supervision
  • Train on and become proficient with a variety of analytical instrumentation and techniques
  • Plan and execute work-related tasks with minimal supervision
  • Perform analyses in a timely manner and maintain accurate laboratory notebook or worksheet records
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve project goals and objectives
  • Identify and troubleshoot minor analytical problems with instrumentation, general chemistry, and computer applications
  • Communicate analytical or sample issues to senior staff and/or management
  • Assist with the drafting of technical documents, such as OOS/atypical investigations, deviations, and CAPAs
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of cGMP requirements and regulatory policies
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field, or Associate's degree with 2+ years of relevant laboratory experience
  • Familiarity with analytical instrumentation, test methodology/validations, data acquisition systems, and cGMP policies and practices
