Position Title: Clinical Research Registered Nurse
Overview:
The Clinical Research Registered Nurse plays a vital role in ensuring the quality and integrity of clinical trials. Under the supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI), this position is responsible for conducting clinical research in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Institutional Review Board (IRB) approvals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver nursing care to participants involved in research studies.
- Ensure adherence to study protocols through comprehensive review and documentation during each patient visit.
- Assist in the recruitment and assessment of study participants by gathering medical histories to verify eligibility.
- Conduct medical evaluations, including vital signs, imaging studies, and electrocardiograms.
- Administer investigational medications and monitor patients for side effects, promptly reporting findings to the Principal Investigator.
- Provide education and information to patients regarding medication usage, administration, and treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate medical records to fulfill protocol requirements.
Essential Qualifications:
- Active RN license in the relevant state.
- Contract position with a commitment of 28 hours per week.
- No weekend shifts required.
- Previous experience in clinical research is not mandatory, making this an excellent opportunity for those looking to enter the field.
