Job Summary

Psomas is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Regional Accounting Specialist II to join our team in Seattle. As a key member of our Accounting Team, you will provide billing, accounts payable, and other accounting-related support to our engineering, survey, and construction management teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete monthly project billing in compliance with client and contract specifications
  • Effectively communicate with Project Managers regarding billings, contract documents, and change orders
  • Set up new projects using accounting software according to contract and client direction
  • Facilitate expense and credit card reporting, ensuring timely and accurate coding and processing
  • Coordinate the processing and coding of accounts payable
  • Assist with administering contracts from execution to close out
  • Work with the cash receipts team member to reconcile variances that occur in the application of cash
  • Serve as a resource for staff with accounting-related issues or questions
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years prior general accounting, administrative, or related experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and ability to follow through and complete assigned tasks
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with intermediate proficiency in Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively with a wide variety of internal and external clients
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience within the Architecture, Engineering, Construction (AEC) industry
  • Knowledge and experience with Deltek Vision accounting software
