Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounts Payable Specialist II to join our team at Seattle Children's. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will be responsible for processing non-salary payments for our organization and related entities in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, government regulations, and company policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and reconcile accounts payable transactions in a timely and accurate manner
  • Utilize internal control procedures to safeguard company assets
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve payment discrepancies and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate payment
  • Perform financial analysis and reporting to support business decisions
Requirements
  • Associates degree or equivalent significant relevant accounts payable experience
  • Minimum four (4) years of experience in a high-volume accounts payable environment
  • Experience using various financial systems, preferably Lawson
  • Experience in document imaging systems, such as scanning
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with financial analysis and reporting
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and regulatory requirements
