Hospital Assistant

UCI Health is the clinical enterprise of the University of California, Irvine, and the only academic health system based in Orange County.
We provide tertiary and quaternary care and are home to Orange County's only National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center, high-risk perinatal/neonatal program, and American College of Surgeons-verified Level I adult and Level II pediatric trauma center.
Your Role on the TeamThe Certified Nursing Assistant provides direct patient care under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse. The Certified Nurse Assistant performs all duties within scope of practice.
What It Takes to be Successful- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
- Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Knowledge necessary to obtain C.N.A. license in the state of California and current C.N.A. certification
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification
- Recent acute care experience preferred
- Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms
