About the Job

This is a challenging and rewarding nursing leadership position at UC Davis Rehabilitation Hospital, a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to providing individualized, intensive rehabilitation services to patients recovering from various conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish a professional work environment for team members, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Ensure the nursing staff delivers comprehensive patient care to enhance safety and minimize errors, adhering to evidence-based practices and protocols.
  • Oversee accurate and timely documentation in medical records and Interdisciplinary Care Plan, ensuring seamless communication among healthcare professionals.
  • Enforce compliance with education, in-service, and orientation requirements, promoting ongoing learning and development.
  • Promote a rehabilitation nursing philosophy and staff development, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Review quality indicators, patient satisfaction results, and outcomes for performance improvement, identifying areas for growth and development.
  • Coordinate patient care needs and team communications, ensuring effective collaboration and problem-solving.
  • Assist with patient/family interactions and day-to-day care coordination, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Validate Quality Improvement processes and accuracy, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
  • Perform additional assigned duties as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Qualifications
  • Completion of a Nursing program (BSN, ADN, or Diploma) from an accredited institution. BSN Preferred.
  • Valid state Registered Nurse licensure.
  • CPR/BCLS certification; ACLS certification preferred.
  • Preferred CRRN Certification.
  • Minimum two years of nursing leadership experience preferred.
  • Minimum two years of rehabilitation nursing experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
