About the Role

The Autism Intervention Specialist will work with clients on the Autism spectrum, providing direct service to the client within their home or school. The treatment program will follow the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and occurs under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

This role requires strong communication skills, creativity, and patience when working with individuals with Autism. The ideal candidate will have experience in ABA practices, knowledge of general behavioral principles, and be certified as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing direct instruction and programs to increase communication, daily living skills, social skills, play skills, and more.
  • Managing challenging behaviors
  • Supporting clients with Autism in their homes, schools, and community settings
  • Finding creative ways to keep clients motivated to learn
  • Communicating effectively and professionally with the client, client's family, and therapy team
  • Working collaboratively with other therapists, providers, BCBAs, caregivers, and school staff for effective program implementation

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required
  • 1+ years of experience preferred
  • Knowledge of general ABA practices
  • Valid driver's license
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass a background check
