Teaching Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated educator to join our team as an Autism Education Specialist at Laurel Heights Academy in Atlanta, Georgia.

About the Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality education and support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorders. This is a full-time position that requires a strong commitment to teaching and learning.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized educational plans for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders
  • Provide direct instruction and support to students in the classroom and during activities
  • Collaborate with colleagues and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for students
  • Manage classroom behavior and develop strategies to promote positive behaviors
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and eligibility for GA teaching certificate required
  • Autistic teaching experience preferred
  • Special Education certification a plus
