CNC Machining Specialist

JOB OBJECTIVE

Support and enhance production efficiency by programming, validating, and optimizing processes for part production on various CNC machinery. Responsible for the programming, oversight, documentation, and execution of CNC programs.

Position is strictly on-site, remote work is not an option. Candidates must reside in the Cleveland Ohio area and report to the manufacturing facility daily.

Proficiency in MasterCam is mandatory.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Receives assignments and organizes programming tasks according to deadlines.

Analyzes technical drawings and models.

Selects the most suitable machine and tooling for part production on CNCs, ensuring a balance between efficiency and cost-effectiveness for both existing and new programs, processes, fixtures, and tooling.

Confirms the functionality of programs, tooling, and fixtures with operators to ensure proper operation on the designated machines.

Completes tasks by retrieving technical drawings and/or models, assessing and procuring tooling as needed, designing fixtures as required, programming efficiently using CAM software, and collaborating with operators, while preserving validated programs.

Manages workflow through effective scheduling and time management to guarantee that operators have access to programs in advance of their requirements.

Responsible for maintaining communication regarding operations, tooling, and fixtures with machine operators to ensure the production of high-quality parts.

Upholds company standards by exemplifying and enforcing core values and quality benchmarks.

Directs requests for software, tooling, and fixtures to the Plant Manager.

Enhances and maintains professional and technical expertise by participating in educational workshops, reviewing industry publications, and building professional networks.

Ensures a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to company policies and OSHA regulations.

Additional responsibilities as required to fulfill job specifications.

REQUIREMENTS

Experience with manufacturing machinery and processes.

Strong comprehension of tooling equipment, tooling methodologies, and industrial standards.

Ability to make informed decisions by analyzing data and prioritizing based on scheduling needs.

Dedicated to achieving and maintaining quality standards for the organization.

Ensures a safe working environment.

Experience in setting up and operating manufacturing machinery.

Able to creatively resolve issues and collaborate with colleagues to generate ideas and enhance processes.

Handles programming tasks of varied scope and complexity.

Demonstrates capability to mentor, develop, and work effectively with others in a team environment.

Exhibits excellent attendance and consistently delivers quality work on schedule.

Ability to provide direct supervision to team members, assigning tasks, and reviewing work regularly.
