JOB OBJECTIVE
Support and enhance production efficiency by developing, validating, and optimizing processes for part production on various CNC machinery. Responsible for the programming, oversight, documentation, and execution of CNC programming tasks.
Position is strictly on-site, remote work is not an option. Candidates must reside in the Cleveland Ohio area and be present at the facility for daily operations.
Proficiency in MasterCam is mandatory.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Receives assignments and organizes programming tasks according to deadlines.
Analyzes technical drawings and models.
Selects the appropriate machinery and tooling for part production on CNCs, ensuring a balance between efficiency and cost-effectiveness of current or new programming, processes, fixtures, and tools.
Confirms the functionality of programs, tooling, and fixtures with operators to guarantee they perform as intended on the selected machinery.
Completes tasks by retrieving or accessing technical drawings and/or models, assessing and procuring tooling as needed, designing fixtures as required, programming efficiently using CAM software, and collaborating with operators, while ensuring the preservation of validated programs.
Manages workflow through effective scheduling and time management to ensure operators receive programs in advance of their requirements.
Responsible for communication regarding operations, tooling, and fixtures with machine operators to ensure the production of high-quality parts.
Upholds company standards by embodying and enforcing core values and quality benchmarks.
Directs requests for software, tooling, and fixtures to the Plant Manager.
Enhances and maintains professional and technical expertise by participating in educational workshops, reviewing industry publications, and building professional networks.
Ensures a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to company policies and OSHA regulations.
Additional responsibilities as necessary to fulfill job requirements.
REQUIREMENTS
Experience with manufacturing machinery and processes.
Strong knowledge of tooling equipment, tooling methodologies, and industry standards.
Ability to make informed decisions by analyzing data and prioritizing based on the production schedule.
Dedicated to upholding and achieving quality standards for the organization.
Maintains a safe working environment.
Experience in the setup and operation of manufacturing machinery.
Capable of creatively addressing challenges and collaborating with others to generate innovative ideas and enhance processes.
Handles programming tasks of varying scope and complexity.
Demonstrates the ability to mentor, develop, and work effectively with team members.
Exhibits excellent attendance and consistently delivers quality work on schedule.
Ability to provide direct supervision to team members, assigning tasks and monitoring work regularly.
