**Job Summary**

The Clinical Practice Specialist is a critical role within our organization, responsible for ensuring clinical compliance across all UTP clinics. This individual will work closely with the Operations Team to regulate clinical operations, training, and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that providers and clinics meet Board of Pharmacy Standards for medication handling and storage.
  • Conduct quarterly clinical audits in all UTP clinics and provide education on areas for improvement.
  • Ensure proper and required signage is maintained in waiting rooms.
  • Manage and update CLIA certificates for UTP.
  • Collaborate with UTP Operations to develop and implement clinical policies and procedures.
  • Work with UTP Operations to create and implement clinical logs and documentation procedures.
  • Ensure the use of quality and cost-effective point-of-care testing.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring systems for medical-grade refrigerators and compliance with governing agencies.
  • Provide education and annual clinical competencies for all clinical employees and document attendance.
  • Educate Operations and Clinical staff on sterilizing instruments and documenting procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with Emergency Preparedness and that staff and providers are prepared in case of an emergency.
  • Monitor compliance, regulate, and create policies on Infectious Waste Standards to meet OAC regulations.
  • Develop policies and procedures that promote office safety and compliance.

Requirements:

  • Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing
  • Years of Experience: 5 years
  • License/Certification: RN & BLS

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Certification: ACLS or PALS, CLIA - Laboratory Certification, TDDD - State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy
  • Skills: Knowledge of Medical Laws and OSHA Laboratory Safety Guidance
