We are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse II to join our Surgical Step Down Unit team at University of California Irvine. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care and develop effective care plans.
Responsibilities- Assess, plan, intervene, and advocate for patients and their families throughout the continuum of care
- Evaluate patient outcomes and revise care plans as necessary
- Act as a role model and mentor to students and new nurses on the unit
- Function as a Patient Care Coordinator as requested by the supervisor/manager
- Minimum of 2 years acute care nursing experience or completion of 6 months UC Irvine Medical Center Clinical Nurse I Program on a Step Down Unit
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree
- Ability to work variable shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to maintain flexibility and work well in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of applicable regulatory requirements
- Bilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and families
