Clinical Nurse II

The University of California, Irvine is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse II to join our team. As a Critical Care clinical nurse, you will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement a plan of care for a specific group of assigned patients, ensuring the coordination of care between other disciplines and support staff.
This role requires a minimum of 2 years of recent Critical Care/ICU experience and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. You will also need to possess and maintain appropriate certifications, such as NRP and PALS, per unit assignment. Ability to work variable shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, is also required.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement a plan of care for a specific group of assigned patients
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordination of care
- Perform professional nursing duties that incorporate the psychomotor and age-appropriate cognitive skills of the patient/family/significant other
- Evaluate patient outcomes and revise plan or make referrals as necessary
- Act as a role model and mentor to students and nurses new to the unit
- Minimum 2 years of recent Critical Care/ICU experience
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Ability to work variable shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Understanding of applicable regulatory requirements
- Bilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and families
- RN
- BLS
- ACLS
