Role Overview:

We are in search of experienced Senior Software Engineers to innovate and develop cutting-edge technologies and intricate features that will enhance user engagement with live events. In this pivotal role, you will confront significant and complex challenges, contributing your expertise to create effective technical solutions. Our ideal candidates will possess a proactive attitude and a passion for problem-solving, while also serving as mentors and leaders within their teams.

Team Mission:

The Seller Experiences team is focused on streamlining processes for our extensive ticket sellers, enabling them to efficiently manage their inventory throughout the event lifecycle. Our broader Supply organization aims to minimize management costs for sellers while maximizing their revenue through automation and user-friendly experiences.

Qualifications:

  • 5-6+ years of professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of extensive experience with React and associated frameworks.
  • Strong grasp of core JavaScript principles and experience in developing robust web applications.
  • Proficient in multiple programming languages such as C/C++, Java, C#, and Python.
  • Expertise in areas like Infrastructure, Databases, Data Processing, Machine Learning, Distributed Systems, Security, and Privacy.
  • Experience in crafting solutions for complex challenges with substantial business implications.
  • Solid understanding of system interactions within a production environment.
  • Ability to quickly learn new programming languages and tools.
  • Experience overseeing projects from conception to deployment.
  • History of mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain significant enhancements across all StubHub platforms, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
  • Collaborate with peers to uphold best practices in our codebase.
  • Prioritize and manage individual project timelines and deliverables with your technical insight.
  • Guide and mentor team members, fostering a culture of inclusivity, innovation, and creativity.

The anticipated gross annual base salary range for this role is $200,000 – $275,000 per year. Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skills, experience, and competencies. Base annual salary is one component of StubHub's total compensation and competitive benefits package, which also includes equity, 401(k), paid time off, paid parental leave, and comprehensive health benefits.
