In this role, you will oversee the Plant Operations & Maintenance Department within a senior living community. Your responsibilities will include planning, organizing, and managing all support services in accordance with contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and enhance existing programs, services, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, including senior management, medical staff, and community agencies, to effectively coordinate services.
  • Ensure the quality and timeliness of work to meet facility standards and regulations.
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets, including energy-saving initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory agencies and standards.
  • Evaluate staff performance and provide necessary training and orientation for new employees.
  • Address employee concerns and manage disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Conduct interviews and recommend candidates for hiring.
  • Facilitate communication regarding personnel policies and employee relations.
  • Oversee construction and development projects for physical facilities.
  • Review and approve construction plans and modifications.
  • Act as a liaison with contractors and vendors to negotiate agreements.
  • Manage grounds maintenance and emergency response operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a director-level role within engineering, maintenance, or construction in a healthcare setting.
  • Proficiency in CMMS, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, to ensure facility safety.
  • Good physical condition and capability to operate departmental equipment.
