As Nightwing continues to grow as an independent entity, we are looking for a strategic leader to oversee our Accounting Operations. This pivotal role will initially focus on the implementation of essential systems such as human resources, payroll, ERP, and travel & expense management. Once these systems are established, the focus will shift to managing the Accounting Operations, ensuring precision, compliance, and ongoing enhancement of payroll, time management, and travel & expense functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementation: Engage actively in the configuration of payroll, ERP, and travel & expense systems.
  • Management: Direct payroll, time management, and travel & expense operations, including the development and enforcement of policies, compliance oversight, system management, and financial reporting.
  • Controls: Establish and uphold controls for payroll processing, including deductions, taxes, and adherence to IRS regulations.
  • Improvements: Propose and spearhead process enhancements within the Accounting Operations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with HR, Finance, and IT to address challenges and refine processes.
  • Reporting: Oversee financial operations, including accounting-related activities, and provide insights on operational effectiveness.

The ideal candidate will possess the ability to analyze data, formulate enterprise-wide strategies, and thrive in a dynamic environment.

Professional Experience:

A minimum of 12 years in accounting, finance, or payroll functions is required. Experience with system transitions or deployments is essential. Familiarity with ADP, Costpoint, and Concur systems, along with government contracting industry experience, is advantageous.

Skills:

Exceptional organizational and communication skills, a proven ability to lead and mentor teams, and a solid understanding of payroll regulations and corporate travel practices are crucial.

Educational Experience:

Applicants must have 12+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree in a related field, or 20+ years of applicable work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Highly Desired: Payroll certification.
