We are currently seeking a highly driven and results-oriented Plant Controller to oversee our operations.
The primary function of the Plant Controller is to act as a strategic ally to Operations at the plant level, ensuring the consistency and precision of financial data reported to both Operations and Management at the regional and divisional levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver dependable financial and controlling information to leadership for informed decision-making.
- Oversee budgeting, monthly performance results, and forecasting for the site.
- Manage the reporting process for the site, ensuring reliability, consistency, transparency, and compliance with applicable regulations.
- Guarantee the accuracy of Profit & Loss (P&L), Balance Sheet, and Operational Cash Contributions.
- Conduct comprehensive controlling analyses, including variance and industrial analyses.
- Collaborate with the Shared Service Center to obtain, provide, and validate accurate financial information.
- Prepare ad hoc analyses as required for the regional VP of Operations and the US Operations Controller.
- Supply all necessary documentation requested by internal and external auditors.
- Recommend action plans to management based on relevant analyses to meet operational targets, particularly concerning costs and workload.
- Monitor the financial implications of proposed action plans.
- Authorize Purchase Orders within the limits defined by plant delegations.
- Suggest continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing business efficiency and reducing costs.
- Leverage knowledge and share best practices and lessons learned across the organization and within the site.
- Uphold the highest ethical standards and adhere to all Motherson SAS and Global Motherson Policies and Procedures.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the company.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience, including site controlling experience.
- Strong analytical capabilities and solid accounting knowledge.
- Business-oriented mindset with a strong sense of teamwork.
- Effective communication skills.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Experience with SAP is preferred.
