About the Role

Grand Canyon University is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Housing Operations Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our Housing Operations department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our residential communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate housing reservations and logistical needs for new and returning residential communities on campus.
  • Assist with the planning and implementation of housing allocations and growth strategies.
  • Develop and maintain online housing selection processes and communicate housing policies and deadlines to students and staff.
  • Build and maintain relationships with other University representatives to ensure excellent customer service standards are upheld.
  • Collect, maintain, and update student housing data, ensuring data integrity and preparing reports as needed.
  • Analyze student entries to determine housing eligibility and follow up with established processes for evictions, reservation cancellations, and communication with university counselors.
  • Establish and maintain processes for early arrivals/late stays, including updating applications, communication with university officials, and coordination with relevant departments.
  • Responsible for building and maintaining online housing application processes and forms to provide students with an easy and accessible experience.
  • Set configuration of each bed in the housing system for the entire campus for every term to reflect intended use.
  • Participate in mapping out summer housing needs, including available beds, extended stays, and space closures.
  • Establish marketing needs for all processes, including new student applications, returning student applications, and summer applications.
  • Produce and maintain training documents for all processes under assigned purview and actively participate in peer training.
  • Develop and manage processes for room switches under multiple scenario possibilities and train peers and other departments on the process and their role.
  • Be available to assist student workers as they problem-solve with students and parents who call in.
  • Review and respond to inquiries sent to the department inbox and alert management of trends and needs seen in communications.
  • Actively seek out and create efficiencies for students and staff in all processes by critically looking at those processes and their purpose.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Must occasionally work outside of normal business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays (minimal and scheduled ahead of time).
  • Must pass a pre-employment background investigation.
  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University's Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
