Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer to join our Technology Development Centre in Chicago. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering user stories and providing L2 and L3 support for our Cash Systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement, including reducing manual effort, automating tasks, and decreasing production incidents.
  • Review and maintain high standards of knowledge documentation in our repository and update Service-Now tickets accordingly.
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with global stakeholders, IT teams, and business areas.
  • Collaborate with vendors and support staff on support tickets and provide regular updates to stakeholders on incident progress.
  • Handle major production incident calls, escalate impacts to dependent teams, and involve necessary teams to resolve issues promptly.
  • Provide primary analysis of issues, interpret alerts from SiteScope, Dynatrace, and Checkpoint, and refer to them during Root Cause Analysis.
  • Ensure smooth release processes on weekends and involve appropriate teams in case of any issues identified during implementation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in Java/J2EE technologies.
  • Strong expertise in Java 8, J2EE, RESTful interfaces, Spring Boot, Oracle PL/SQL, JMS, and Spring Integration.
  • Experience with IBM MQ, Solace, Kafka, and good working knowledge of XML technologies.
  • Agile Methodology and Scrum process for software development.
  • Minimum of ITIL v3 certification.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Understanding of cloud architectures and Pivotal Cloud Foundry.
  • Experience with Service Now (IT Service Management tool).
  • Familiarity with one or more of the following banking applications: Oracle FLEXCUBE v 12 or higher, SAP Fioneer Liquidity Management System, or Intellect iGTB application suite.
