Position SummaryWe are in search of a skilled DevOps Engineer to partner with our Application Development teams in delivering innovative business solutions through agile methodologies while effectively managing production challenges.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with teams across Wealth Management to support product and operational needs.
- Engage with Application Development teams to implement business solutions and address production issues.
- Drive efforts to enhance production stability and prevent incidents.
- Monitor and manage incidents, changes, and problems related to assigned applications.
- Provide timely updates to stakeholders regarding incident progress, including any risks or breaches of service level agreements.
- Identify and implement measures to enhance application stability and availability.
- Develop expertise in assigned application domains.
- Troubleshoot production issues through effective monitoring and log analysis.
- Participate in regular meetings with Project and Development teams to prioritize and resolve production issues.
- Assist in managing direct systems projects, including planning, status reporting, and implementation.
- Ensure compliance with audit requirements, including change control and data security protocols.
- Coordinate with both onsite and offshore Managed Services providers to support applications and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with various teams, including offshore staff, to analyze root causes and facilitate efficient resolution of production issues.
- Be available for on-call support after hours, including weekends, for critical production issues.
- Work effectively with vendors and support staff to manage support tickets until resolution.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with a solid understanding of contemporary cloud technologies, preferably in the financial sector.
- 5-6+ years of experience in application development and support using modern technical frameworks.
- Experience with multi-channel applications (web, mobile, API, etc.).
- Previous experience in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering role is advantageous.
- Familiarity with the Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC) and other methodologies.
- Experience working in Agile/XP environments.
- Proficiency in technologies such as Java, J2EE, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Cloud Computing (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), RESTful interfaces, GIT, Gradle, Maven, NPM, Spring (Spring Batch and Spring Boot), Bootstrap, CSS3, HTML4, Oracle PL/SQL.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A robust technical background with the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to articulate technical issues in layman's terms and bridge communication between business needs and technology teams.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within a global support team, providing cross-training and support for multiple critical client-facing applications.
- Experience working effectively with diverse groups, including IT management, technology staff, business partners, and clients.
