Your Role:

We are seeking an experienced financial leader to guide CIEE's financial strategy during a pivotal phase of growth. The Chief Financial Officer will oversee corporate financial planning, analysis, and management, working closely with the executive team to develop and implement robust financial frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and communicate the organization's financial objectives and policies.
  • Advise senior leadership on strategic business initiatives and financial implications.
  • Ensure financial stability and assist in evaluating the impact of strategic plans.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the executive team.
  • Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, audits, reporting, budgeting, and compliance.
  • Manage day-to-day accounting functions and cash flow.
  • Lead the annual audit process and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Prepare and present timely financial reports to the executive team.
  • Direct planning and budgeting processes to align with strategic goals.
  • Assist in identifying and integrating acquisitions into the organization.
  • Implement advanced financial systems to support growth and efficiency.
  • Oversee tax planning and compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Manage risk and insurance requirements.
  • Review financial agreements and contracts.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification required.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in corporate finance and leadership roles.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to provide strategic financial insights.
  • Proven experience in operational accounting and financial reporting.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Experience with financial software and systems is advantageous.
  • Background in the education sector is a plus.
