Position Summary:

The Revenue Assurance Specialist is responsible for auditing the daily financial records of various revenue-generating departments within the Resort and Casino. This role ensures adherence to internal controls, gaming regulations, and established policies and procedures, focusing on the accuracy and compliance of revenue transactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive audits of financial data across departments to ensure accuracy and compliance with established guidelines and legal requirements.
  • Identify discrepancies in accounting practices, investigate issues, and recommend improvements to policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records for W2-G forms and prepare necessary IRS documentation.
  • Audit complimentary goods and services provided, generating reports for managerial review.
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of work areas to maintain a safe environment for guests and staff.
  • Adhere to all relevant Tribal, Federal, and State regulations, as well as internal policies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, within the scope of the job description.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:
  • Strong knowledge of office procedures and equipment, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in work.

  • Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines under pressure.
Physical Requirements:

The physical demands of this position include:

- Regularly sitting, using hands for tasks, and communicating verbally.
- Frequently reaching with hands and arms.
- Occasionally standing, walking, stooping, and kneeling.
- Lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.

Work Environment:

This position is primarily based in an indoor office setting. The noise level may vary from quiet to moderate, with potential for increased noise during busy periods. Interaction with employees, external agencies, and the public is a regular part of the role.
