Job Summary:

The Cantina Cook position at Bluewater Casino & Resort is responsible for preparing high-quality, fresh hot and cold food items in the Cantina outlet. This role requires maintaining a neat and orderly food preparation environment, sampling food to ensure quality, and minimizing waste to improve financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare food items using standardized recipes and methods of preparation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Sample food to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Minimize waste and improve financial performance.
  • Organize and maintain refrigerated and dry storage areas.
Requirements:
  • Professional training through a culinary education or experience in a fast-paced high-volume restaurant or catering facility.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • C.R.I.T Community Environmental Health Food Handlers Card and any other required compliance trainings.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for long periods and walk frequently.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds of force.
  • Ability to work in a smoking environment.
