Tax Preparer

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are in search of a meticulous Tax Preparer to be part of our team. The chosen candidate will operate from our PARKER, Colorado, office, and will primarily be tasked with preparing Federal, State, and Local tax returns for individuals, businesses, and other entities. This role involves a range of responsibilities, from processing tax returns to collaborating with team members on other projects as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare tax returns during client meetings as well as for mailed in and dropped off returns
• Identify savings opportunities and recommend applicable tax strategies to clients
• Assist taxpayers with all regulatory compliance by following up with IRS and State letters
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
• Collaborate with team members on other projects as needed
• Utilize Accounting Software Systems and ADP - Financial Services for efficient processing of tax-related tasks
• Use CCH ProSystem Fx, CCH Sales Tax, Drake Tax Software, and other tools for the accurate preparation of tax returns
• Deliver excellent customer service while handling inquiries and resolving issues
• Carry out data entry tasks in an accurate and timely manner
• Use Thompson Reuters TaxStream Software and Thompson Reuters UltraTax CS Software to streamline tax preparation processes.• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Tax Preparer or in a similar role
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services
• Familiarity with CCH ProSystem Fx and CCH Sales Tax
• Knowledge of Drake Tax Software
• Understanding of general Accounting Functions
• Experience with handling Allowances
• Excellent Customer Service skills
• Proficient in Data Entry
• Understanding of Deductibles in tax context
• Certification or experience as an IRS Enrolled Agent
• Experience with Thompson Reuters TaxStream Software
• Familiarity with Thompson Reuters UltraTax CS Software
