Position Overview:
The Pediatric Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is accountable for delivering and documenting skilled nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, adhering to the established care plan and physician's orders for each patient while maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver and coordinate quality patient care in accordance with physician directives.
  • Continuously monitor and assess patient conditions, reporting any changes to the supervising RN or physician.
  • Document all nursing activities, assessments, and care coordination promptly.
  • Participate in the development and updating of nursing care plans.
  • Take appropriate nursing actions based on assessments to achieve expected health outcomes.
  • Recognize and respond to changes in patient needs, implementing necessary interventions.
  • Maintain compliance with Aveanna policies, state and federal regulations, and the Nurse Practice Act.
  • Utilize infection control measures to ensure safety for both staff and patients.
  • Educate patients and families on disease processes, self-care techniques, and preventive strategies.
  • Engage in continuous professional development through educational programs and skill evaluations.

Qualifications:
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
  • Current, unrestricted LPN license in the state of practice.
  • Valid CPR certification.
  • Proficiency in clinical assessments and adherence to nursing policies and procedures.

Preferred Experience:
  • At least six months of recent experience as a Licensed Nurse in a clinical setting.
  • Experience in home health care.

Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Capacity to travel as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with patient mobility.
  • Prolonged periods of walking, standing, bending, and reaching.

Work Environment:
  • Ability to function in diverse environments with potential exposure to allergens and infectious materials.
