Job Summary: As a skilled Mechanical Assembler at H O Bostrom, you will play a critical role in assembling and verifying the correct product configuration from drawings and job order documentation. Your attention to detail and ability to follow instructions will ensure the highest quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and verify product configuration according to drawings and job order documentation.
  • Packaging products per specifications.
  • Perform a variety of assembly operations, including fitting and aligning assemblies.
  • Inspect and test final assemblies to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Recognize and report defective parts or issues.
  • Follow safety procedures and practices to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with senior builders to improve process methods and suggest improvements.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 1-year work experience in a role that required the use of tools for mechanical tasks.
  • Prior manufacturing assembly experience is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and spatial reasoning skills.
  • Able to count accurately and have good verbal and written communication skills in fluent English.
  • Ability to work well with others and follow direction.
  • Computer skills are preferred.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift 40 pounds from floor to waist occasionally.
  • Ability to lift 65 pounds from waist to chest occasionally.
  • Ability to lift 20 pounds from chest to overhead frequently.
  • Ability to carry 30 pounds, 3 feet, occasionally.
  • Ability to push 200 pounds on a wheeled cart for 40 feet occasionally.
  • Ability to pull 60 pounds on a wheeled cart for 50 feet occasionally.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Good hand/finger dexterity required.
  • Ability to handle repetitive motion.
  • Ability to reach above shoulders, crouch, bend at the waist, and climb an A-frame ladder.
