Position: Product Assembler/Tester (A/T)

Key Responsibilities:
  • The A/T is required to interpret engineering specifications and drawings essential for the assembly and testing phases.
  • Proficiency in the operation of all assembly tools is necessary, including torque and tension control during assembly. Familiarity with precision measuring instruments is also essential.
  • Verification of component parts for accuracy in relation to the assembly unit is crucial, along with adherence to special instructions. Any discrepancies in the material picklist must be reported to the Production Coordinator.
  • Conduct thorough inspections to ensure quality assembly, including checks for body cracks, positioner calibration, and proper documentation.
  • Additional skills in areas such as drilling, milling, and manual lathe operation are beneficial.
  • Maintenance of assembly devices is required, either by the assembler or an authorized technician.
  • All tools utilized in the assembly process must be properly maintained and stored in a ready-to-use condition.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to follow detailed assembly and testing instructions is essential.
  • Manual dexterity and the capability to perform complex assembly tasks efficiently are highly valued.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and repairing products within a manufacturing environment is preferred, along with strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with engineering and suppliers.
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to read technical drawings.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical components or relevant education.
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems and actuators is advantageous.
  • Strong verbal communication skills are required.
  • Experience in machining is a plus.
  • Familiarity with crane and forklift operations is beneficial.
Work Environment:
  • Manufacturing shop setting.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
  • Exposure to cutting oils, lubricants, and sharp tools.
