Job Summary

The Trade Desk is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Account Executive to join our Business Development team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for acquiring, building, and cultivating relationships with senior leadership at Initiative, as well as some of their pharmaceutical advertisers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to acquire new business opportunities and expand existing relationships with Initiative and their pharmaceutical advertisers.
  • Work closely with client services and The Trade Desk trading team to cultivate and grow accounts.
  • Communicate the value of The Trade Desk media buying platform to senior leadership at Initiative and their pharmaceutical advertisers.
  • Participate in product roadmap build-out discussions based on client needs with senior leadership, product, and engineering teams.
  • Take the lead in responding to RFPs or new agency opportunities, including qualification and win strategy.
  • Coordinate global account discussions with go-to-market counterparts across the world.
  • Work closely with product, marketing, and revenue teams to constantly optimize efforts relating to company-wide goals.
  • Identify and close strategic up-selling opportunities by understanding core client business needs.
  • Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop The Trade Desk's unique selling propositions and differentiators.
  • Contribute to The Trade Desk culture.
  • Leverage industry and product knowledge to develop and execute a POV and strategy on the best way to go to market and develop a business from the ground-up.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 3-6+ years of experience in digital advertising in outbound sales.
  • Preference for current relationships and/or experience working with Initiative.
  • Pharma vertical expertise is a plus.
  • Experience at an online publisher, ad network, ad exchange, ad server, SEM platform, DSP, DMP, or other online advertising company.
  • Strong hunting experience with new and existing accounts.
  • Programmatic platform sales experience highly preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to speak with C-level clients.
  • Strong quantitative skills, ability to negotiate and craft creative and out-of-the-box proposals.
  • Proven track record of exceeding revenue expectations.
  • Experience establishing longstanding, consultative client relationships.
  • Comfort and ability to thrive in ambiguous and novel situations.
