Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Line Cook to join our team at Mecha Noodle Bar - DC. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes to a high standard, while maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including meats, fish, vegetables, soups, and other hot food products.
  • Food Safety: Ensure that all food is stored and cooked at the correct temperature, and that all kitchen equipment is clean and well-maintained.
  • Inventory Management: Handle, store, and rotate all food products and supplies according to restaurant policies and procedures.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure a smooth service period.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all dishes meet the restaurant's high standards of quality and presentation.
Requirements
  • Experience: Prior experience in a related food service position is required.
  • Skills: Ability to follow written and oral instructions, proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills, and ability to work in a high-stress environment.
  • Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
