About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team at Anacostia - Busboys and Poets. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food to a high standard, working efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment, and maintaining a clean and safe workspace.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes and presentation standards
  • Work effectively in a team environment to ensure smooth service
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards
  • Monitor and control food temperatures, ensuring food is stored and cooked at the correct temperature
  • Rotate stock and check for quality to ensure freshness of food and ingredients
Requirements
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a fast-paced, full-service restaurant
  • Must be at least 18 years of age to work in the kitchen
  • Must work a minimum of 3 shifts per week
  • Must be a team player with excellent communication skills
