Job SummaryThe Clinical Nurse Manager will play a key role in supporting the daily operations of our Med Surg unit, ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care. This individual will be responsible for facilitating effective communication among team members, promoting a positive work environment, and driving quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Support and maintain successful unit-based throughput efforts through timely bed assignments and balanced clinical workloads.
- Ensure efficient use of resources, promoting safe and high-quality care to all patients.
- Identify and implement evidence-based interventions to optimize input, throughput, and output processes.
- Support staff engagement through consistent, supportive, and compassionate leadership.
- Facilitate the allocation of clinical resources, executing safe and clinically appropriate strategies to address urgent and emergent needs.
- Serve as a role model and mentor, empowering staff to identify innovative solutions and practice within their full scope of clinical role.
- Support and empower the clinical team in implementing evidence-based practice changes, addressing opportunities for improvement through quality, process, and performance improvement efforts.
- Coordinate organizational priorities, ensuring quality, cost-effective patient care, and collaborating with inter-professional care teams to achieve successful clinical outcomes.
- Identify and support elements of improved care quality, including nursing-sensitive care quality indicators, effective care coordination, and prevention of potential errors.
- A minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care setting, with 1 year of demonstrated leadership abilities.
- Graduate from an NLN-accredited school of nursing.
- Bachelor's in Nursing required, Master's preferred or in progress within 6-12 months of hire.
- NJ-RN: Current New Jersey license as a Registered Nurse.
- BLS & ACLS certification.
- CNL or AACN Specialty certification preferred.
