Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service and Front Desk Activities:
    • Provide exceptional customer service, making every member feel welcome and valued.
    • Answer phone calls in a friendly and professional manner, assisting callers with various questions and concerns.
    • Check members in, tour, and sign up new members, log amenities, and communicate updates and events to members and guests.
    • Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
    • Conduct beverage or merchandise purchases on the point-to-sale system.
    • Utilize the POS system to assist with new membership cards, change of address, and billing or payment questions.
  • Club Cleanliness and Maintenance:
    • Ensure the front desk area and lobby are clean and orderly, going above and beyond to maintain a positive atmosphere.
    • Regularly clean and maintain the facility, including mopping up spills, trash removal, cleaning windows and mirrors, and re-racking weights.
    • Regularly clean and maintain all exercise equipment and tanning beds.
    • Regularly clean and maintain restrooms and wet areas, ensuring they are stocked and ready for use.
  • Qualifications and Requirements:
    • Applicants for overnight positions must submit to a 7-year criminal background check within the first week of hire, with continued employment contingent on satisfactory results.
    • Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to interact positively and professionally with members and coworkers, exceeding member expectations.
    • Prior customer service experience is preferred.
    • Must be 18 years of age or older.
    • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
    • Upbeat, positive, and professional attitude.
    • Punctuality and reliability are essential.
    • Obtain and maintain CPR/AED certification within required timeframes and maintain physical ability to perform CPR/AED in the event of a medical emergency.
Physical Demands and Requirements
  • Walk and stand for prolonged periods, frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and make repetitive hand motions.
  • Occasionally lift, carry, push, and/or pull moderate amounts of weight (up to 50lbs).
  • Ability to talk continually in person or on the phone during shifts.
  • Maintain physical ability to administer CPR in the event of a medical emergency.
  • Ability to see in normal visual range with or without correction.
  • Ability to hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
