Position Overview

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Support children with developmental challenges in enhancing their abilities.
  • Assist families in maintaining a safe and nurturing home environment.
  • Engage with families in settings that are accessible and comfortable for them.
  • Connect, oversee, and synchronize various services.
  • Create and execute Individualized Support Plans for designated clients.
  • Advocate for the rights and needs of the individuals served.
  • Track and record progress, adjusting plans as necessary.
  • Promote culturally sensitive and recovery-oriented practices.

Work Schedule and Benefits:

  • Compensation range: $20-25 per hour.
  • Sign-on bonuses totaling $4000 available throughout the first year of employment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant Human Services field.
  • Preferred licensure as a Social Worker in Michigan or eligibility to obtain.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • At least one year of clinical experience with the target population is preferred.
  • Must meet QIDP (Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional) criteria.

Essential Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Capability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Familiarity with resources available for eligible clients.
  • Bilingual abilities, particularly in Spanish, are preferred but not mandatory.
