We believe in transforming challenges into opportunities, and our success relies on a Bilingual Social Services Coordinator to support project activities in the Grand Rapids, MI area.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct thorough reviews and assessments of third-party release recommendations related to family reunification options.
2. Visit care provider locations to perform weekly staffing evaluations.
3. Engage in weekly discussions with customer staff and direct care providers to review cases, incorporating insights from child welfare, juvenile justice, and mental health in compliance with policy.
4. Document progress and identify issues related to program trends through comprehensive reporting.
5. Assist care providers in identifying potential victims of trafficking.
6. Offer technical support to grantees regarding policies and procedures.

Job Requirements:
1. MA/MS in Social Work or a related social science discipline with 2 years of postgraduate child welfare experience, or 3 years of post-undergraduate child welfare experience, or
2. BA/BS in Social Work or a related social science discipline with 5 years of post-degree child welfare experience, or
3. BA/BS in a non-social science discipline with 7 years of post-degree child welfare experience.
4. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (assessment required).
5. Prior experience working with immigrant youth and families is highly preferred (case management, psycho-social assessments, direct mental health therapy, etc.). Experience in juvenile justice can be an advantage.
6. Position requires background checks and child abuse/neglect screenings.
7. Position requires a Tier 2 Public Trust investigation.
