We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Life Enrichment Assistant to join our team at Fairview Health Services. As a Life Enrichment Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the planning and implementation of quality leisure and social programs for our senior residents.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and lead leisure programs, activities, and exercise classes for older adults in an assisted living residence.
- Encourage resident participation and report changes in residents' mood and physical status.
- Promote independence and support socialization among residents.
- Collaborate with the Activities Director to develop and implement programs that meet the needs of our residents.
- Solid understanding of basic Microsoft computer programs.
- Excellent communication and social skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior living residents.
- Ability to lead activities with older residents and promote a sense of community.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, with one to three years of experience working with older adults, leading activities, or in a therapy or recreation role.
- Previous experience working with memory loss care or in a customer service setting.
- Formal education in a related field, such as gerontology or recreation therapy.
