Position Overview

Role Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive onsite installation, configuration, repair, maintenance, and support for state-owned computing devices, including workstations, laptops, thin clients, printers, network communication devices, video conferencing tools, software applications, and related peripherals.
  • Administer user accounts on local computers, selected servers, and Active Directory, adhering to industry standards.
  • Utilize a tracking system to document and resolve technical support tickets.
  • Provide limited assistance for approved mobile devices containing proprietary data, ensuring proper configuration for work-related tasks.
  • Educate and assist end users on technical matters as a preventive measure.
  • In the event of a disaster, implement actions to maintain operational continuity in line with established and approved departmental plans.
  • Travel to various locations as necessary to fulfill assigned responsibilities.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and aid in resolving network-related issues impacting end users.
  • Restore data from backup systems using designated applications as required for user support.
  • Oversee all assigned issues managed by other internal IT teams or external contractors.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree or an Associate's degree with three years of relevant professional experience, or six years of professional experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Strong analytical abilities and effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and follow-up.
  • Capability to manage projects, assignments, and competing priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Desired:

  • Advanced degree.
  • At least one year of professional experience with OTS information systems or programs utilized by the department.
  • At least one relevant industry certification or training, such as CompTIA, Microsoft, HP, Dell, Cisco, ITIL Foundation, Apple, or HDI-CS.
  • Professional experience with Windows-based operating systems, including installation, administration, or troubleshooting.
  • Experience with various computer hardware, including PCs, laptops, printers, MFPs, routers, switches, or servers.
  • Familiarity with Remote Control software, Ticketing System software, Active Directory, Exchange, or SharePoint.
  • Experience in customer service.
