Avionics Mechanic II

Tactical Air Support is seeking an experienced Avionics Mechanic to support our fleet of fighter aircraft. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in avionics and aircraft maintenance, with experience in radar/integrated weapons systems and high-performance military aircraft.

Responsibilities
  • Perform organizational, intermediate, and limited depot-level maintenance on assigned aircraft electrical/avionic systems, components, and equipment.
  • Apply advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems and provide technical assistance, guidance, and instruction to other teammates as needed.
  • Work closely with the Senior Site Maintenance Manager to ensure safe and effective operation of company-owned aircraft.
Requirements
  • High School/GED graduate with 3-4 years of experience in avionics/aircraft maintenance.
  • Previous work-related experience preferably in the military or with a government aviation maintenance contractor.
  • Experience with Radar/Integrated Weapons systems, high-performance military aircraft (F-5/T-38), and modifying F-5 Aircraft with Garmin and Mission Systems.
  • Valid state driver's license and U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD security clearance.
Desired Experience/Skills
  • A&P certification.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to correctly prioritize workload to maintain schedules, deadlines, and standards on assigned projects.
  • Ability to manage multiple roles and projects, remain calm under pressure, and be adaptable.
Work Environment

Tactical Air Support is a dynamic and fast-paced environment with occasional exposure to loud noises, fumes from engines and chemicals, unpredictable climate, and electrical shock or trip hazards. May be exposed to or required to handle hazardous materials. Specific work hours determined by operational, departmental, or contractual requirements.
