Avionics Mechanic II

Tactical Air Support is seeking an experienced Avionics Mechanic to support our fleet of fighter aircraft. This position will perform organizational, intermediate, and limited depot-level maintenance on assigned aircraft electrical/avionic systems, components, and equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect, test, repair, modify, and troubleshoot aircraft electrical/avionic systems, components, and equipment
  • Apply advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems
  • Provide technical assistance, guidance, and instruction to other teammates
  • Perform maintenance tasks in accordance with company procedures and industry standards
Requirements
  • High School/GED graduate with 3-4 years of experience in avionics/aircraft maintenance
  • Previous work-related experience preferably in the military or with a government aviation maintenance contractor
  • Experience with Radar/Integrated Weapons systems
  • Experience with high performance military aircraft (F-5/T-38)
  • Experience with modifying F-5 Aircraft with Garmin and Mission Systems
  • Experience with aircraft wiring modifications
Desired Experience/Skills
  • A&P certification
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple roles and projects
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and be adaptable
Work Environment

Tactical Air Support is a dynamic and fast-paced environment with occasional exposure to loud noises, fumes from engines and chemicals, unpredictable climate, and electrical shock. May be exposed to or required to handle hazardous materials.
