Job Summary:
Chipton-Ross is seeking an experienced Avionics Technician to join our team in a contract opportunity at a government facility. As an Avionics Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, diagnose, and maintain equipment, components, devices, or systems.
- Work from schematics, engineering drawings, and written or verbal instructions.
- Operate related equipment; conduct tests and report data in a prescribed format.
- Perform calibration and alignment checks; make adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed.
- Prepare prescribed compounds and solutions.
Requirements:
- 4-6 years of experience in electrical diagnosis and repair.
- 4-6 years of experience in electrical testing.
Education:
- Accredited High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
Work Schedule:
- Full-time position with a 4/10 work schedule.
- First shift schedule.
Additional Requirements:
- Applicants must be eligible for a government security investigation and possess the ability to view classified government information.
- Contractors assigned to safety-sensitive jobs at the client site must complete regulatory pre-placement requirements prior to reporting to assignment.
- Contractors assigned to safety-sensitive work will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with federal mandates.
