Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Specialist to join our team at NYU Langone Health. As an MRI Specialist, you will be responsible for performing medically prescribed MRI procedures of designated anatomical areas, under the general direction of the radiologist and supervisor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform MRI procedures in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
  • Operate MRI equipment and ensure proper maintenance and quality control.
  • Assess patient information and status, and plan appropriate procedures accordingly.
  • Use standard procedures to identify the correct patient and verify patient information.
  • Follow accepted radiologic procedures and use medical information to determine the type of protocol required for radiographic examination.
  • Consult policy and procedure manuals and/or other reference materials as necessary to ensure actions conform to established protocols.
  • Recognize need for and follow isolation precautions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • ARRT Certification/Registration
  • Intravenous Contrast Administration Certification in New York State
