MRI Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Specialist to join our team at NYU Langone Health. As an MRI Specialist, you will be responsible for performing medically prescribed MRI procedures of designated anatomical areas, under the general direction of the radiologist and supervisor.
Key Responsibilities- Utilize hospital and radiology information systems to access patient information and track exams.
- Choose appropriate patient information from the HIS/RIS system in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Access patient data for verification of orders and maintain department log books in an orderly manner.
- Set up and administer IV contrast media, explaining the procedure and process to patients.
- Assess patient information and status, planning appropriate procedures accordingly.
- Use standard procedures to identify the correct patient and check wristbands for accuracy.
- Consult policy and procedure manuals as necessary to ensure actions conform to established protocols.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Intravenous Contrast Administration Certification in New York State.
- ARRT Certification/Registration.
