Overview

The Project Finance Portfolio Manager is tasked with the underwriting, credit oversight, and management of a portfolio of clients whose loan repayment relies on cash flows generated by specific projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Relationship Manager in underwriting and overseeing transactions in accordance with established bank guidelines and policies.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to assess the economics and risks tied to project financing structures.
  • Oversee credit risk and ensure the quality of the portfolio.
  • Continuously monitor compliance with credit and covenant agreements.
  • Analyze and prepare financial loan memorandums to facilitate new loans and modifications.
  • Manage the renewal process in collaboration with the Relationship Manager, clients, and the credit department, including adjustments and waivers.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory and credit requirements set by East West Bank.
  • Formulate solutions for problematic loans.
  • Guarantee that portfolio administration and risk management align with established credit policies, procedures, and business strategies, as well as commercial and regulatory standards.
  • Review legal documentation for accuracy and compliance with approval standards.
  • Perform additional administrative tasks necessary for maintaining a client portfolio.
  • Stay informed about market conditions.

Qualifications:

  • In-depth understanding of project finance, particularly in power, energy, renewables, and solar sectors.
  • Ability to comprehend and provide guidance on intricate financial proposals.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Robust analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficient in Excel.

Education and Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics is required; an MBA is preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in project finance is necessary.

Compensation

The base salary range for this role is USD $100,000.00/Yr. - USD $160,000.00/Yr. Final offers will be determined based on relevant knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
