Position Overview

The Project Finance Portfolio Manager will oversee the underwriting, credit assessment, and management of a portfolio of clients whose loan repayment is contingent upon cash flows generated by their projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Relationship Manager in underwriting and managing transactions in accordance with established bank guidelines and policies.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to analyze the economics and risks linked to project financing structures.
  • Ensure credit risk management and uphold the quality of the portfolio.
  • Continuously monitor compliance with credit covenants.
  • Analyze and draft financial loan memorandums to facilitate new loans and modifications.
  • Coordinate the renewal process with the Relationship Manager, clients, and the credit department, including amendments and waivers.
  • Guarantee adherence to regulatory and credit requirements set by East West Bank.
  • Devise solutions for problematic loans.
  • Ensure that portfolio administration and risk management for each client relationship align with established credit policies, procedures, and business strategies, as well as commercial and regulatory guidelines.
  • Review legal documentation for precision and compliance with approval standards.
  • Perform additional administrative tasks necessary for maintaining a client portfolio.
  • Stay informed about market conditions.

Qualifications:

  • In-depth understanding of project finance, particularly in power, energy, renewables, and solar sectors.
  • Ability to comprehend and provide insights on complex financial proposals.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Robust analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficient in Excel.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics is required; an MBA is preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in project finance is necessary.

Compensation

The base salary range for this role is USD $100,000.00/Yr. - USD $160,000.00/Yr. Actual offers will be determined based on relevant knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
