Job Description

**Job Summary:**

The City of New York is seeking a highly skilled and experienced City Hall Recruiter to join our team. As a key member of our Human Resources Solutions (HRS) department, you will be responsible for the successful organization and execution of hiring halls, assisting with planning logistics, coordinating with vendors, and marketing events to attract top talent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with planning and executing hiring hall events, including coordinating with vendors and marketing the event.
  • Coordinate with agency recruiters, hiring managers, and vendors to ensure all necessary paperwork is completed and each agency representative has the necessary supplies and resources.
  • Assist with marketing the event, creating marketing materials, and implementing promotional strategies to ensure maximum participation.
  • Manage crowd control and ensure the event runs smoothly and safely.
  • Provide support and assistance to job seekers, recruiters, and hiring managers at the hiring hall event.
  • Ensure each hiring manager and recruiter provides data on the number of applicants interviewed and resumes collected for secondary interviews.

Requirements:

  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and three years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience, one year of which must have been in an administrative capacity or supervising staff performing clerical/administrative work of more than moderate difficulty.
  • Or an associate degree or 60 semester credits from an accredited college and four years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience, including one year of administrative supervisory experience.
  • Or a four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and five years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience, including one year of administrative supervisory experience.
