Job Summary:

The City of New York is seeking a highly skilled Recruitment Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will be responsible for coordinating all facets of recruitment efforts, including posting job openings, tracking and processing candidate applications, and serving as a public face of the organization in recruitment efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate recruitment efforts from posting job openings to selecting candidates
  • Liaise with academic institutions to schedule interviews and develop effective recruitment methods
  • Develop and organize materials for interviews using the Applicant Tracking System
  • Assist in the coordination of the Summer Intern Program and other similar programs
  • Input data into the BXDA Applicant Tracking System and schedule interviews
  • Prepare offer letters and assist in the preparation of professional hiring statistics

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as human resources management, management science, or a related field
  • Minimum of three years of recruitment experience, preferably in a municipal setting or within a civic or community organization
  • Extensive knowledge of citywide electronic database systems, such as PRISE, NYCAPS, PMS, and CHRMS
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Adobe Pro, Microsoft Office, and Outlook
  • Strong relationship-building and candidate sourcing skills
  • Strong database management and record-keeping skills
