Cybersecurity Incident Commander

The City of New York's Office of Technology and Innovation (OTI) is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Incident Commander to join its team. As a key member of the OTI, this individual will be responsible for managing, supervising, and coordinating cybersecurity incidents on a 24/7 basis.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, with experience in incident response, threat hunting, and vulnerability management. They will also possess excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
The Cybersecurity Incident Commander will be responsible for maintaining incident response playbooks, conducting tabletop exercises, and acting as a liaison on third-party incidents. They will also be responsible for communicating with Agency and City Hall stakeholder leadership, providing timely and relevant updates on incident status and progress.
The successful candidate will have a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college, with 24 credits in a relevant field such as voice and/or data telecommunications. They will also have four years of satisfactory full-time experience in a related field, with one year in a highly specialized capacity and 18 months in an executive, managerial, or administrative capacity.
