Job Title: Patient Accounts Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Accounts Specialist to join our team at the Atlantic Region CBO. As a key member of our Patient Financial Services team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients and insurance companies, resolving account inquiries, and ensuring accurate and timely financial information.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to patient and insurance company inquiries regarding account balances, payments, and claims.
  • Resolve account discrepancies and escalate complex issues to management as needed.
  • Document all interactions and updates in the Patient Accounting System.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, insurance companies, and internal teams to resolve issues and provide accurate information.
  • Work collaboratively with the Patient Financial Services team to ensure seamless communication and resolution of patient accounts.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent and 1-3 years of customer service experience.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Familiarity with customer service and healthcare business office experience preferred.
